Important update to our services

At Australia Post, we’re working hard to deliver for our customers in these difficult times. We are however, experiencing significant delivery delays in our network due to limited flights, social distancing requirements and a substantial increase in parcel volumes as more people shop online.

These delays mean we are temporarily suspending the Express Post guarantee of next day delivery as we are unable to commit to this timeframe. Express Post is still available but parcels may not be delivered next business day every time.

We know you’re keener than ever to find out when you’ll receive your deliveries. You can track your delivery through parcel tracking, the chatbot and the MyPost App. We ask for your patience with our contact centre colleagues based here in Australia who are doing their best to keep up with the additional demand.

Changing how we work to remain safe

Many customers and businesses have asked us how we are changing our ways of working to ensure the safety of our communities and teams.

Post Offices have implemented social distancing measures for all services conducted in store. Cleaning standards and personal hygiene guidelines have also been provided. Counter safety screens to improve hygiene and reduce risks are also currently being rolled out across the country. The response to this has been positive so far.

We’ve also had a number of questions regarding the safe handling of mail. The World Health Organisation and the Australian Department of Health have stated that the risk of contracting COVID-19 through handling of mail or parcels is extremely low. Nevertheless, we’ve introduced health and safety protocols in our facilities that ensure that mail and parcels are handled safely and that human contact is minimised. Contactless parcel deliveries where a signature is no longer required is also reducing risks.

The world has changed significantly in 2020, with the onset of Coronavirus that originated in China that has thrown the global financial markets in distress and the economy of the western world in so much uncertainty, it is the time to change how we think about how we do future business.

At this point in time, our priority is for the health and safety of our staff and customers along with ensuring job security and the longevity of Speedflow Products Pty Ltd.

Manufacturing and Supply

Our manufacturing facilities in Taree NSW are still machining stock, anodising and assembling. We have stock ready and have not changed our schedules as we continue to fill orders as they arrive.

We are still sending stock to our Australian and International distributors as required, and we will continue to do so until we learn otherwise from our state or federal authorities.

We have freight leaving every day with Toll, TNT, Fastway and Australia Post. Unfortunately to the reduction of flights and transport restrictions plus the high demands placed upon their systems there are likely to be delays in deliveries.

For local customers that wish to come to our office, we will require you to email orders and make an appointment to collect. You must adhere to the social distancing protocols we have set in our sales office. If you cannot meet these requirements you will be asked to leave.

New Zealand

For our New Zealand customers, you have been instructed to stay at home, but you can still order parts via our web site, but delivery is an unknown at this point in time. We are still in communications with our NZ warehouse staff, so we will do our best to get your orders completed.

All the staff at Speedflow want to reassure you that we are still operational and continuing to manufacture and distribute our AUSTRALIAN MADE hose fittings at this current time.

The current instruction from our NSW state and Federal Government is for businesses like us to continue to operate – but this could change at any time.

We have been in contact with our distributors and we are committed to continue producing stock to have available for you to keep working on your vehicles and projects.

Being an Australian Made product, and a self-sufficient company we do not need to rely on outside companies to manufacture 99% of our fittings. We have a great stock of our raw materials along with stock of raw machined fittings, as we have built our business around creating a stock system to cope with the ever-expanding business that we have built.

We continue to source our raw materials from Australia and New Zealand where possible which should not lead to any major delay in replacing these stocks as they deplete.

Regarding freight, currently there has been no change from all our carriers picking shipments up from us. It is likely that during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic that deliveries will be delayed.
